Partnership Updates
Seas of Trees
For the third year in a row, the Lids Foundation is proud to partner with Seas of Trees. Seas of Trees is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to advance global reforestation efforts, combat climate change through effective carbon sequestration, and foster community engagement in environmental stewardship. The Lids Foundation has fully funded their Wilson Mesa Project where they will be planting 1,000 trees. This area features a historic pond that is home to a variety of birds and wildlife. This mesa is losing its native forests due to pressures from elk browsing, climate change, development, and cyclical forest health pathogens. Tree planting is essential to restoring and strengthening the ecosystem.

The Lids Foundation is proud to partner with Our Military kids for the 13th year! As Our Military Kids celebrates 20 years of military family support, the Lids Foundation crosses the $1 million donation mark to cumulatively fund 3,300 OMK activity grants. We are proud to be able to support OMK on making an impact on our Military Youth.

Sibley Memorial Hospital
The Lids Foundation understands that simply accessing care can be a challenge for some patients due to a variety of factors that could cause an individual to delay or discontinue treatment. This is why partnering with Sibley Memorial by creating and maintaining the Lids Foundation Fund is so important to us.
This fund, last year, has provided support for 275 cancer patients in financial need. Providing 1,899 rides to treatments, 159 nights at hotels, along with food and other needs patients might have in order for them to receive their much-needed care.
There are many programs that Sibley Memorial has to aid access to cancer treatment like Patty’s Fund and Shoolman Fund for Pediatric Cancer, and now the Lids Foundation Fund being one of them. Watch this video to see how funds like these make an impact.
