2025 Summer Camp Edition

e are gearing up for summer, and the Lids Foundation has made sure that children around the nation will be able to get the most out of their summer! You will see a lot of familiar organizations as we maintain most of our partnerships this year. As you plan for your summer, keep the following organizations in mind.

ADA Dance Abilities

We are proud to announce our partnership with the ADA Booster Club, the 501c3 non-profit organization that sponsors the Dance Abilities Program at Academy of Dance Arts. The Lids Foundation sponsored their Dance Abilities Summer Camps in Indianapolis.

 

Dance Abilities is an adaptive, inclusive dance program for people with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Programs such as Dance Abilities and the Integrity Ensemble work together to create more access within our community for people with all dance abilities to experience the joy of dance.

Hoops in the Sun

With our partnership with Hoops in the Sun we supported their Summer Summit Program.

 

“The Summit” was created during the summer of 2020 as a safe alternative for kids to stay active during the pandemic. The Summit was such a success HITS continues to provide this health and fitness workout initiative and mentorship program for kids ages 5 – 18 on Saturdays & Sundays: June through September.

Opportunity Enterprises

We have partnered with Opportunity Enterprises again this year in support of their Camp Lakeside Program.

 

Opportunity Enterprises is a non-profit organization that strives to help individuals with developmental disabilities reach their fullest potential and live a full, enriching life. At Camp Lakeside, kids with and without disabilities come together to experience a uniquely integrated summer camp, where they develop social skills and learn to appreciate the many differences among us.

JAB Camp

Through our partnership with Jared Armstrong and his JAB Camps in Pennsylvania we gave enough funding for 30 children to be sponsored to attend a JAB Camp this summer.

 

JAB Camp provides a safe-haven environment for campers regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion. During camp, campers will take courses on antisemitism/racism education, nutrition, and financial literacy.

Bender JCC of Greater Washington

The Lids Foundation has partnered with Bender JCC and their Lessans Camp Inclusion Program. The Lids Foundation provided funding for their Scholarship Program for those who are unable to afford the cost of camp.

 

The Lessans Camp Inclusion Program each year brings together more than 100 campers who have a wide range of disabilities with 400 friends and siblings and 250 counselors for a fun, meaningful and memorable experience. Each child’s needs are accommodated, and their strengths are celebrated.
